JOHN J. PETRIDES, MBA<sup>®</sup>
John J. Petrides, MBA®, is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Point View. Mr. Petrides has nearly twenty years of experience in managing investment portfolios, analyzing securities and providing financial solutions for high net worth and institutional investors. Prior to joining Point View, he spent six years as a Portfolio Manager for Advisors Capital Management, LLC. During his tenure, John managed $200 million in assets for over one hundred client accounts across the Growth and Balanced Strategies. He also served as the Chairperson of the Investment Committee, participated in quarterly webcasts to clients, and published market commentaries frequently. Previously, John had been an equity analyst at Bear Stearns Asset Management (BSAM) for its High Net Worth and Large Cap Value Institutional strategies, which at its peak had $7 billion in assets under management. John is a regular guest on CNBC, Fox Business News, Bloomberg, CNN World Business, Business News Network, Wall Street Unplugged, Wall Street Journal Radio, also quoted in Barron’s Magazine, LA Times and other sources.
John received his MBA® from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, in 2005 and his BA in Political Science from Fairfield University (CT) in 1999. In 1998, John studied at St Catherine’s College, Oxford University, in England. John has been and continues to be actively involved in community service organizations. He is the Vice President of the Michael J. Petrides Student Award for Excellence in Math and Science. He is a Board member for Staten Island Community Resources. John was also a member of the Amethyst House, in Staten Island, NY and an AmeriCorps Volunteer at John’s Home for Boys in Rockaway, Queens. John is currently on the Advisory Board of the Department of Community Programs (DCP) and has served as the Treasurer of Summit Public Arts, for Summit, NJ. He is a coach for Summit Junior Baseball, New Providence Flag Football, a member of the Summit Elks club, and a volunteer judge for the annual Summit Classic Car Show.
